Who Qualifies?
Active PTPTN Borrowers: Anyone currently repaying a Diploma, Degree, or Masters PTPTN loan (both Ujrah and conventional interest schemes).
Formally Employed Staff: You must be employed by a company registered in Malaysia that processes formal monthly payroll.
Regularized Accounts: Borrowers in default or with existing arrears can qualify as long as they apply for salary deduction to normalize their monthly payments.
How to Set Up Salary Deduction on myPTPTN
Log In to myPTPTN: Open the myPTPTN mobile app (available on iOS, Android, and Huawei) and log into your verified user account.
Access Services: Tap Services (Perkhidmatan) on the bottom menu, then select Salary Deduction (Permohonan Potongan Gaji).
Select Your Loan: Tap New Application (Permohonan Baru) and choose the specific loan account you wish to automate.
Enter Employer Information: Search for your employer’s registered company name and update your employment details so PTPTN can match your payroll records.
Confirm & Submit: Input your designated monthly repayment amount, agree to the declaration, and submit.
What Happens Next & Pro Tips
Payroll Turnaround: PTPTN will process the request and notify your company’s HR/payroll department directly. It typically takes 1 to 2 payroll cycles to reflect on your monthly payslip.
Automatic Credit: Once payroll makes the deduction, PTPTN updates your online loan statement around the 7th day of the following month, applying the 10% rebate automatically.
